I desperately information on how to seek help from Smiles for Success. I was in an abusive relationship and all of my front teeth are missing. I’m at a point of suicide because I feel that I can no longer face people on a daily basis without someone commenting on my teeth and appearance. I need my life back, I need a reason to live and I would do anything for a chance to smile at my son and not feel ashame. Thanks, for allowing me to vent.

My name is Emma Harrell, and I live in Darlington South Carolina,I am a single mother of 3 children, and I am embarrassed to smile, not because I have been in any bad relationships, but because I can’t afford to get my teeth repaired. My front teeth are discolored and decaying, and I have no back teeth, which makes chewing food very uncomfortable. I once paid this dentist close to a thousand dollars, just to have a some what normal life. Well I missed an appointment, which was his day off, but it was the day I found out the my father was dying of cancer. This dentist was very rude, and displayed a very uncaring attitued, so I requested a refund. Well out of all the money that I paid him, he only refunded $300.00 of it back. I suffered through negative amounts in my checkin account, month after month, all because I just wanted to be able to smile. Well as you can imagine, I still don’t have a smile that I can share with anyone. When speaking with others, I lower my head so that they can’t see my mounth. I know that this isn’t one of the most tragic stories that you may have heard. But I was listening to Ms. Ferrea on television, speaking of how hard it is to land a good job, without having nice teeth. Well, I don’t think I will ever be able to have a chance at a high paying job to take care of my children, and that is all because of my teeth. I hope that you will consider me for serives, because I would love to be able to smile again.

    Sincerely yours,

I have horribly crooked yellow teeth and am EXTREMELY embarrassed by my smile. I’m a young mom on welfare trying to get a job and trying to go back to school, but am really afraid of going on interviews because of my smile. I am dead serious when I say that I rarely go outside and when I talk I cover my mouth because I’m ashamed.I would like to know how can I qualify for Smiles For Success? I’d give everything in the world to have a nice smile so I can finaly for once feel complete as a woman. All my life I’ve dealt with stares and nasty names, I would love for people to stare at my teeth for all the right reasons.I’ve been to the dentist but the medical card can only cover visits, not work and their is no way ever that I can afford it.I really think I deserve this help but honestly I think every one of us women in our different situation deserve this. Thanks a lot to all of those whom donate their time and money for this. To many it’s nothing but to me it’s everything, it’s my life!
